Sparkle and Show
The Holiday Tree Lighting has been going on for a couple of decades. It brings out the good. Good times, good hot cider, great singing.
The tree is adorned with homemade ornaments and those that make it from past years are placed on the tree, once again. Several have the word peace or ‘peas’, one hedges its bets with ‘hope’. The evening’s talent performed on ‘The Red Rose’ (our version of the red carpet).
If you think of it, stop by and place an ornament on the tree. The generosity continued, we received two large containers of non perishable food for the LB State Food Pantry.
And now on to photos of neighborhood lights. If you can please send in photos of holiday lights in/around Rose Park/Rose Park South to info@rpna.org and they’ll be posted on Facebook (another tradition).
And yes – you mystery writers – there are just 14 days until Dec. 30th when the one page story about how the Gnome Stole Rose Park is due. Again to info@rpna.org. We can’t wait to see the entries!
