This Weekend and Beyond CCC – Feeling the bite? Our Coronado Cooling Center is aware of the mosquito endemic. There are new forms of tiny mosquitoes some that target those tasty ankles. Over 250 holiday gift bags were delivered to neighborhood seniors this year with the assistance of long-time nonprofit partner, Heart of Ida. Heart of Ida filled the gift bags with hygiene items, notebooks, resources and Rose Park Neighborhood Association decorated and delivered the bags adorned with a community made ornament! On June 25th, 2016 10th St. will be transformed into a tree-lined lane with 96 trees from Cherry to Temple. The trees will commemorate women who have broken boundaries and barriers, and 96 recognizes the 96 years since the 19th Amendment when women finally received the right to vote in the United States.
