The Forces were Against Us
We had to cancel our #AlarmYourself2 #IDigFeelingSafe street action Wed. Jan 16th. We really wanted to be out there and waited until mid morning but it looked as though the storm would just be on top of us from 2pm-5pm. Once we CANCELLED it….the rain of course moderated during that time. HOWEVER we will hold it in the near future once we check extended radar and the Farmer’s Almanac.
We learned a lot in preparing for this – first and foremost, many many people were very interested and wanted to participate. So many that it was hard to notify them once the decision to CANCEL was made. So apologies to those that we missed. But we will establish the go-to spot for up-to-date notices when we reschedule. Always check our FB and Twitter.
In the mean time – get and stay prepared. Danielle compiled smart apps and items that you may not be aware of.
Apps can be very useful, however no app is 100% infallible. Your first line of defense should be 911 in a LIFE Threatening Emergency!
