Reuniting Feels so Good!
It was a fun-filled day with friends, families and neighbors at the Rose Park Neighborhood Picnic on Sunday, July 17th. Safe Refuge kicked off the picnic games with the signature Watermelon Eating Contest with kids & adults.
Classic folk, bluegrass, and country songs played throughout the day with live tunes from Brother Pines.
YES WE CAN Democratic Club provided a voter registration table and Heart of Ida provided information regarding their digital inclusion initiative providing one-on-one technology support to help seniors with online applications, email, internet access, and online health, wellness and enrichment programming to reduce isolation.
Councilmember Cindy Allen facilitated the bean bag toss game with kids, Council Distric 2 Policy Director, Rahul Sen provided city resources to attendees, and ArtWorksLBC provided a fun art activity for all to enjoy.
