Join Lisa Harris of the Red Cross at our next Community Watch Meeting
Did you know that doorways are no stronger than any other part of a structure? Don’t rely on them for protection! During an earthquake, get under a sturdy piece of furniture and hold on. It will help shelter you from falling objects that could injure you during an earthquake.
The Rose Park Community Watch group is pleased to host Red Cross volunteer Lisa Harris at their next meeting, which will be held this Sunday afternoon at Rose Park. Lisa will be speaking about earthquake preparedness. Don’t make the foolish mistake of waiting until after a large earthquake to realize that you we’re not prepared. And, remember, in a major disaster, it might be several days before vital services are restored. So spend some time with us this Sunday afternoon at the park and learn how to prepares your family and your home for what the experts tell us in an inevitable large-scale temblor.
