Take A Lap On The Grand Prix Track on Tuesday, April 1

On Tuesday, April 1, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is opening up its track to the public. The community is invited to walk, bike, roller skate or even push a stroller along the course where, just ten days later, the world’s best IndyCar drivers will scream through at over 180 mph.

“This free ‘Grand Prix-View’ is a great opportunity to get some exercise while experiencing up close the race track, which is usually reserved for some of the most elite race car drivers in the world.” — Mayor Bob Foster

You can travel at your own pace while checking out the tire tracks and other sights of one of the most famous street courses in the world. The Grand Prix-View will cover 1.5 miles of the course, and travel in the same direction as the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, which begins on April 11th and ends on April 13th.

Note: No motorized vehicles nor non-service animals are permitted on the course.

There are two entrance points for accessing the track:

Ocean Boulevard and Hart Place
Ocean Boulevard and Collins Way
