It’s in the Grunion, it must be true!

After 3 years of community meetings, FB posts, discussions and crossed fingers the City of Long Beach will have its 6th Street Bike Boulevard, a 2.5 mile stretch from Bellflower Boulevard (CSULB) to Junipero Ave (Retro Row). Traveling through 3 great neighborhoods: Alamitos Heights, Belmont Heights and Rose Park South cyclists will be offered traffic calming at 12 intersections “traffic circles” plus other measures. Residents groups have already met to provide input on the landscaping and other elements of these needed neighborhood embellishments.

Stay tuned to this space for construction dates, related events and other 6th Street Boulevard info. RPNA thanks all who came out to provide input and considerations, and the huge effort by David Clement to keep this on our and the city’s radar.
