Resources from the Long Beach Police Department
The Long Beach Police Department is working to provide the public with better tools and resources for staying updated on crime activity occurring in Long Beach. Every morning at 10AM, the LBPD posts the latest news from the previous day HERE in the LBPD Blotter.
The new Crime Incident Mapping Application is a tool developed to provide recent crime activity within the City of Long Beach. It provides the public with easy-to-use tools to search and query crimes within their communities.
Go LBPD app provides access to The Long Beach Police Department such as information relating to news, crime prevention, alerts, events, videos, and photos through social media feeds such as Nixle, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, and Flickr, along with the ability to submit crime tips, all with the tap of a finger.
LBPD communications are available via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Reminders from the LPBD are the following:
Report crimes when they happen.
Secure and lock your property.
Use lighting for better visibility in dark areas.
Get to know your neighbors.
If you see something, say something.
