SUMMERTIME PICNIC IN ROSE PARK – BRING YOUR OWN PICNIC & CHAIR!
Join neighbors for the Annual Summertime Picnic in Rose Park on Saturday, June 22nd from 12 to 3pm. The Summertime Picnic in Rose Park will feature two live bands with music from Natural Hi-Fi and Brother Pines!
Safe Refuge will host the annual watermelon eating contest for kids and adults. We will have activities with Serbrina of Happy Lifts, face painting with Parks and Recreation, hot dogs, popsicles and more!
Bring your own picnic and chair. Family and friends welcome! Attendees will also have another opportunity to provide their ideas for re-imagining Rose Park with our placemaking survey, sponsored by the Port of Long Beach. Rose Park is located on 8th and Orizaba Avenue.

PUBLIC SAFETY TOWN HALL MEETING 6/25
District 2’s Public Safety Town Hall. The town hall will be on June 25th, 2024 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Bixby Park.
The purpose of this event is to have the community come in and listen from Long Beach Police Department East and South Division Commanders to discuss issues that are currently prominent in the community. This is a perfect opportunity to voice your concerns while having a conversation with LBPD.

4th STREET BUSINESS MIXER
Rose Park Neighborhood Association was invited to attend the 4th Street Business Mixer on Wednesday, June 12th at Alder and Sage with special guest Vanessa Acosta of Litter Free Long Beach. Vanessa spoke about the importance of keeping our coastal city clean of waste and debris and to encourage business owners and staff to take an active part in keeping our streets litter free. 4th Street Business Owners, staff, food writers, city agency staff and neighbors gathered to be part of the solution in keeping Long Beach a cleaner place to live!
