Residents, business owners and employees. The focus of this meeting is to address the health and safety concerns of residents, business owners and employees in our neighborhood.
Guest speakers include LBPD Eastside Commander Benson and members of her team, as well as a representative of the Community Crisis Response Team and Vice Mayor Cindy Allen’s Office.
The Mayor and City Council are seeking community input on the city’s proposed budget for 2025. The budget was publicly presented at yesterday’s City Council meeting, and there are opportunities for input at several community meetings. Rose Park Neighborhood Association hosted a National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th at the parking lot of 7th and Dawson. National Night Out fosters the partnership between residents and the LBPD. Attendees gathered to connect with their neighbors and talk with LBPD East Division Officers, as well as provide feedback for ongoing safety issues in the neighborhood.
Special shout outs to Pizza Times Two for donating pizzas, J&CO band for setting the fun, chill vibe with live music, to the City of Long Beach Health Department’s Walk and Roll program, to our Impact Maker volunteers, and to our local businesses for showing up in support of a safer community. Thank you to our Rose Park Neighborhood Association board for their volunteer efforts to gather and engage community!
