ROSE PARK NEIGHBORHOOD RESTAURANT RECEIVES MICHELIN STAR RATING

Congratulations to restaurant owners Phillip and Lauren Pretty. The brother and sister duo received a Michelin star, and a Green Star, an award given to restaurants with eco-friendly commitments at the forefront of sustainable practices. ICE CREAM SOCIAL IN ROSE PARK NEIGHBORHOOD

Rose Park Residents Cody & Linzy Lusby are hosting neighbors on Saturday, June 24th from 1 to 3PM for an Ice Cream Social at 2913 E. 6th Street in the Rose Alley. Bring something sweet to share!

SAVE THE DATE FOR THE ANNUAL PICNIC IN ROSE PARK

It’s the annual Picnic in Rose Park! Kids and adults will take part in the famous watermelon eating contest provided by Safe Refuge, cool off with the water balloon toss and race to the finish line with the sack race. This FREE event will also feature FREE hot dogs and music from George DJ Matrix, and we encourage attendees to bring their own picnic and chair. RAINBOW MURAL AT BURBANK ELEMENTARY

ArtWorksLBC Director Dawn Mendelson and volunteers were out at Burbank Elementary School for three consecutive Thursdays in May helping students and staff create an 18 foot rainbow mural that will be displayed on the north side of the school campus.

The mural is being finished by community members in Rose Park and the last opportunity to help with the project is Thursday, June 29th from 3PM to 5PM at Rose Park. Come on out to see the beautiful work of Burbank Elementary students and our community.
