ROSE MEDALLION WORKSHOP

Sign up for the Rose Medallion workshop this Sunday, September 15th starting at 10AM. The workshop is led by Artist Cody Lusby of Roses for Rose Park.

Residents and business owners: Please support the volunteer efforts of the Rose Park Neighborhood Association for Long Beach Gives 2024!

If you like what you see going on in and around your neighborhood with activities at Rose Park, art programming, clean-ups, beautification and revitalization efforts, community meetings and events, please support the Rose Park Neighborhood Association HERE.

What?

Long Beach Gives is the citywide, online fundraising campaign to raise awareness and inspire community giving for Long Beach nonprofits. Search HERE for all participating Long Beach nonprofits!

Since 2019, this campaign has raised over $6.6 million for local nonprofit organizations.

When?

You can make your donation NOW until September 19, 2024 at midnight! We hope you will support the efforts of your Rose Park Neighborhood Association and its volunteers that seek to improve our community HERE.

Why?

The funding we receive goes back into the Rose Park Neighborhood community to focus on initiatives and important issues our residents and local businesses care about most! Support the Rose Park Neighborhood Association HERE.

CITY OF LONG BEACH BUDGET CONVERSATION

The Mayor and City Council are seeking community input on the city’s proposed budget for 2025.  The budget was publicly presented at yesterday’s City Council meeting, and there are opportunities for input at several community meetings.  Click here for all the information on the budget and the public meetings in August

HOUSING POLICY FORUMS

Community members and stakeholders interested in learning about the proposed expansion and modifications of the Inclusionary Housing Policy, and other housing policies designed to increase housing production, are invited to attend the following Housing Policy Forums:

Interpretation will be provided in Spanish and other languages by request. Feedback garnered at the community forums will help inform the updates to the Inclusionary Housing Policy and further the development of several housing amendments and policy initiatives currently being evaluated by the City.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT PHOTO RECAP

Rose Park Neighborhood Association hosted a National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th at the parking lot of 7th and Dawson. National Night Out fosters the partnership between residents and the LBPD. Attendees gathered to connect with their neighbors and talk with LBPD East Division Officers, as well as provide feedback for ongoing safety issues in the neighborhood.

Special shout outs to Pizza Times Two for donating pizzas, J&CO band for setting the fun, chill vibe with live music, to the City of Long Beach Health Department’s Walk and Roll program, to our Impact Maker volunteers, and to our local businesses for showing up in support of a safer community. Thank you to our Rose Park Neighborhood Association board for their volunteer efforts to gather and engage community!

Please stay informed regarding an important community meeting Rose Park Neighborhood Association will be co-hosting with our local businesses and our LBPD East Division Commander Benson to address safety concerns, receive resources and develop solutions.
